Abby: Day 4

Today we ate our last breakfast with the dinosaurs. : ( We then headed towards the Air Force Academy to take a self guided tour. When we got there we found out that the chapel, the main thing we came there for, was closed for a funeral. We got lucky, and it opened before we had to leave. From there, we went to the Airplane restaurant for lunch. We actually ate our lunch in the airplane!(which was on the ground) Then we went to the Olympic Training Center (OTC) and took a small self-guided tour since we couldn't fit in the last tour. After the OTC we headed towards Garden of the Gods, or as Aunt Stacy calls it City of the Gods. We just saw the visitors center, but we'll explore more tomorrow. Pikes Peak and the cog train were amazing!!!! The ride up and down was actually not that much different in elevation because we were going so slow. The view at the summit is breathtaking!!!! I took the "donut experiment", where you get a donut from the summit and eat half of it there at the top and half at the bottom. It tasted much softer and stronger flavor at the bottom. We missed our group sunset photo, but we got the sunset by itself. My mom or Aunt Stacy might post one or two pics. Its feels like its really late right now, so I'm going to bed. Write more tomorrow!
